Ballet Wrap Improvised

The original pattern for this was a regular ballerina wrap with a tie on the side or in the back. I made this very much so custom for a friend. She wanted longer sleeves, buttons to fasten, and longer in the front, rather than a cropped top. It was kind of a pain to customize but the finished product is really nice and it looks lovely on her. I loved working with Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool and I think the buttons that I picked out are perfect. The size 8 bamboo circular needles made the knitting so smooth and quick. To finish my deadline, I knitted for over 12 hours non-stop. It took over 2 hours just to sew, create edging, and weave ends!

Mitered Hanging Towel

I got this pattern from the Mason-Dixon Knitting pattern book. I love the color changes in the yarn and the shade of yellow. It's really a quality towel and the design is not so granny! This is the first time that I have knitted a kitchen accessory other than washclothes and am very happy!

Funky Flip Flops

I love these big crocheted roses!

I used a strand of red and a strand of black yarn and threaded them will skull beads!

Vintage Shawl Wrap

I absolutely love this shawl. I got it from Blueprint Crochet and made it for a wonderful friend. She was very happy. It fit me a little too baggy but she looked way better in it than me and I regret not getting a picture of her wearing it instead. It's a shawl wrap inspired by a vintage sleeping jacket. You wrap it around your body criss-crossed through the two slits in the front and tie it in the back. At first I really hated the design of the pattern (sorry Robyn Chachula) but the end product was so totally worth the frustration!

It took me a while to find the right yarn to use as a substitute. I used a silver light worsted weight acrylic yarn, but for the life of me, I can remember which brand. I believe it was caron.com Country. I will have to go through my labels.

Orange Arm Warmers

Sweet orange acrylic arm warmers. I love these. The color is just perfect. It screams out to me. I used an I or J hook. They are very cozy, but I wish I could find the perfect orange color in a wool yarn!

Wool Wristwarmers

These cute wristwarmers are a Nikki Stitch Original design. I used some thrift store wool (in blue) and leftover acrylic/wool blend (in purple) and made these incredibly warm and stylish wristies. They were really quick and pretty fun.

Lion Brand Bolero

This was actually an order for a lady that never returned my call to pick it up. I really like the design. It's a Lion Brand pattern and it's actually a child size but fits adults just fine! I love the vintage button.

It takes worsted weight acrylic and a size J-10 Hook.
